TEMIA, the Technology Expense Management Industry Association, voted to select Mobile Solutions for its Best Practices award at its recent September 11th -12th meeting in San Francisco. The Best Practices Award was decided by peers within the industry.Mobile Solutions’ best practice revolves around customizing its solutions to meet the unique needs of clients. By identifying the needs of their clients, they are able to meet and exceed expectations. While it seems like a simple process, it is their execution that sets them apart.
A Best Practice is a technique or methodology that, through experience and research, has proven to reliably lead to a desired result. A Best Practice is accepted or prescribed as being correct or most effective. TEMIA’s selection criteria included a review of the results from implementing the best practice and how value being achieved, fulfilled and validated in the marketplace.
A great example of this practice is how Mobile Solutions implemented a custom staging and kitting solution for one of their clients. Because of a recent DOT mandate, the client is now required to include vehicle mounts and devices to their employees. Mobile Solutions listened, and then developed a customized portal to help address their needs. By leveraging their relationship with the providers, Mobile Solutions is able to reduce the clients spend. Additionally, their devices are easily ordered and the staging and kitting team ensures that the clients have everything they need to hit the ground running.
Mobile Solutions created a custom e-commerce site that guides the client’s various site locations into making a choice of standardized packages. There are explanations to make it quick and easy for the admins to choose from. Standardization of equipment is key here as the client’s holding company and IT infrastructure are able to manage the devices remotely.
Mobile Solutions enrolls all devices into the client’s MDM solution and assigns users for ease of trackability and application management. This significantly lightens the load on the client’s IT staff.
Mobile Solutions places all devices into their respective cases, wrap up the devices with the mounts, chargers, and everything an end user needs to ensure they get installed into the vehicles and are ready for use upon receipt. Mobile Solutions is even timing arrival windows so the client can schedule an installer to show up the day after the kits arrive.
Mobile Solutions handles the accessory ordering, device ordering, including all the logistics and shipping to ensure everything gets where it needs to go, when it needs to be there.
